A
buddy film is a
film in which the central characters are two friends,
often of the same sex, who appear together throughout the
film. The "buddies" in such films may be friends, relations
other then by marriage (i.e. brothers, sisters, or cousins),
or partners in some job such as the police force. The buddy
cop film is a popular sub-genre of the buddy film.
Buddy films usually feature male characters, but there have
also been some female buddy films as well.
Some examples
